What It’s Really Like in Australia at Christmas Time

I’ve talked a lot about Christmas in Australia this week; on Monday I astonished myself when I discovered (eventually) that it was possible to have A White Christmas in Australia. On Wednesday I went through a kind of Christmassy list thing All About Christmas in Australia.

But, I hear you ask, but Bob, tell us, what is it really like to be in Australia at Christmas time? Okay, I’ll get to that in a minute, but first…

Merry Christmas Everybody!

I’d like to wish you all a very, very Merry Christmas and a happy (and if it’s what you want) prosperous New Year in 2013. I hope you get all the toys you want for Christmas and you achieve everything you want to achieve next year.

Above all, to all of you hoping to move to Australia, I hope next year is the year that dream comes true.

I’m going to “go dark” now, as they would say in most secret services around the world. What it actually means is I’m just going to go a bit quiet, take a little Christmassy break. I’ll be back in the New Year, January 2.

Not only do I intend to come back bigger and better than ever, but very early next year I’ll be launching my much talked about (by me) membership area. So keep an eye out for that.

“Bob, shut up, tell us what it’s really like living in Australia at Christmas time!!”

Okay, okay, enough waffle. This is what it’s really like living in Australia at Christmas time. This is Christmas Day 2011 somewhere in Sydney. What will you be doing on Christmas Day? Take it away, nocommenttv…

    Hi Bob,
I have been reading your Blog as I have just applied for a job in Oz, and wanted to get an idea of what it’s like. It was quite weird coming on here and seeing my cousin on your page. She is the girl in the white bikini in the video above. For info, she is actually a brit and she did a 10 month tour of Thailand and Australia.
    Definitely a small world!
