I am thinking about moving to Australia and was thinking about Perth but I’m not sure where abouts, I would like a place near the beach but not too far away from Perths centre. Do you have any suggestions of places where would be good to look into? I am young and would be moving with my friend. Thanks

I can’t really help you with this, I don’t know Perth very well at all. If nobody helps you out here on this page, maybe you should check out my page about Perth (rather than West Perth) as that has many more comments and people joining in the discussion.

As a current resident of Crawley/Nedlands (just west of the Perth CBD) I would recommend anywhere around Cottelsoe area, although there will be a high price associated with this area. The Western Suburbs are notoriously wealthy and accommodation is high-priced unfortunately. How far away from the CBD/beach are you willing to live/commute?
