Last Monday I wrote a post about the crime rate in Australia, comparing it with the UK’s. What I prefer to write about on Mondays, are all the exciting things I did over the weekend.
The problem with last weekend was that I had done nothing exciting whatsoever. As I said in the article, “No visit to a sunkissed beach…”
This weekend though, is going to be totally different.
As I write this, it’s late Thursday evening. I am going to schedule this post to go live at 6 PM (Brisbane time) tomorrow, Friday. If all goes to plan, then:
- This morning I would have got up at around 6 AM along with Mrs BobinOz and Elizabeth.
- By 6:30 AM I would have been firing up my car as we all set off for a journey to the Port of Brisbane.
- We would have arrived there by about 7:50 AM.
- We would board our ferry which would depart at 8:30 AM sharp.
So, where are we going?
Technically, I think I might be able to get away with calling our destination an island in the Pacific Ocean. But I doubt it. It’s probably more realistic to say this island is in Moreton Bay.
It is, of course, Moreton Island.
I’ve never been before, although I’ve been to its neighbour, North Stradbroke Island, a few times. So on Monday I’ll tell you what it’s like, assuming everything went to plan. But if it did, as this post goes live I will watching the sun go down from a beach front villa with a beer in my hand.
Living the dream!
Here’s a quick preview of what I expect to find on Moreton Island….
