Why It Is Inappropriate to Write About Life in Australia Today.

Regular readers will know that, more often than not, my post on Monday is about what we did at the weekend. But today, I’m finding it difficult to bring myself to do that.

Why?

As you will know, I used to live in Europe, England to be precise, and I still have friends back there, possibly, and relatives. Currently those friends and relatives and all the good people of Europe are living under a blanket of snow and ice.

Britain is going through its harshest cold snap in 30 years and recently the lowest ever temperature of -22.3°C was recorded in a remote town in Scotland. Elsewhere in Europe the story is no different. Man, it’s cold!

So posting about what I did at the weekend would seem wholly inappropriate.

Having said that, not all of my readers come from the UK and Europe. Surely it would be unfair to those from the rest of the world if I were to deny them today’s post? For me, there was only one answer. Today’s post is available only to readers outside of Europe.

Not suitable for my readers from the UK or Europe.

I didn’t really do much this weekend, although Sunday morning I did go into the city……

Can’t be too careful, I suppose. It’s probably the only lifeguard position where the lifeguard doesn’t need to be able to swim! As long as he can walk fast….

Always made me chuckle as to why they have a lifeguard there when the waters only about 1 foot deep!
