Well it has surely been Christmas week here on BobInOz. We’ve had Christmas lights, we’ve had Christmas songs and now we have Christmas Eve.
Have I gone overboard on Christmas?
Well, the thing is this. The temperature has been running at around 30°C here and the skies, for the most part, have been clear and blue. So it’s not easy getting into the Christmas spirit.

But, having immersed myself in Australian Christmas culture, I sure do know its Christmas now!
And I will continue to immerse myself in Australian Christmas culture. In a very short while, we have guests arriving, so I need to clean up the patio and barbeque area in preparation. Tomorrow we have Christmas dinner round the BeninOz’s and then Boxing Day, we’re off!
Truly immersing ourselves into Australia’s Christmas culture, we’re off to go camping by the beach! We loved last years Boxing Day on the beach so much, we’re going again only this time, we’re staying the night! Three nights actually. I’ll tell you all about it next year, it should be fun, wild tropical storms are the predictions.
But for now, I’m signing off. I’ve had a fantastic year blogging about my life in Australia, it’s been a blast. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it and I’ll be back on January 1st, hopefully you’ll come back too.
It only remains for me to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Those who can, please chuck a snowball on my behalf. I’ll just have to make do with sandcastles.
Thanks for reading.
