As you drive into Coffs Harbour, one of the first things you will notice is the Big Banana, mostly because, well, there is a big banana…
As usual, you can click on any of these images to enlarge them.
The kids spent a thoroughly enjoyable four hours in the Big Banana, they just loved the toboggan ride. But most of their fun was in the water park slipping and sliding around on the various slippery slides.
The fun they had there though was totally eclipsed by their visit to Dolphin Marine Magic..
This is where you go if you want to be kissed by a dolphin, and all of our girls wanted to be kissed by a dolphin. And they were. Here’s Elizabeth getting her kiss…
Not only do you get kissed by a dolphin, you can also get kissed by a seal as well…
I’ve really not seen the girls so happy, they absolutely loved this place, even Mrs Bob had a big grin on her face. Highly recommended.
Dangar Falls
For me though, the best day out was when we drove inland for about an hour or so. First we passed through the historic town of Bellingen…
Then carried on a little further until we got to Dorrigo…

Our ultimate destination though was somewhere just a couple of kilometres past Dorrigo; Dangar Falls. When we saw them for the first time, well, it was breathtaking…

As you can probably just about make out, there were people down there swimming…
As our girls still had their togs on from the visit to the beach in the morning, they fancied a dip as well. So, we wondered, how can we get down there? There was a pathway not far from where we were standing…

And before you knew it, we were down and the girls were hesitating about jumping in…

They may have had their togs on, but we didn’t have towels with us, fortunately there was a spin dryer in the playground…
I know I have mentioned The Great Dividing Range briefly before, as we drove back towards Coffs Harbour, we stopped off at Griffiths Mountain Top Lookout to take a look at a very small part of it…

It’s on days like these that I really do believe I am living in paradise.
