They say time flies by when you’re having fun, and it’s true. Every year that we’ve been living in Australia, and by that I mean a full calendar year, I have made a video about it.
Would you believe it? We are already up to year five.
2012 was the 5th full year that we’ve lived here, and it’s time to show you the video highlights of that year.

We became Australian citizens, that was the big news. But we also discovered Moreton Island, we, oh, why not just watch the video…

The answer though, is no. Actually bumping into Americans and striking up a conversation, only happened once in five years. I know they are about, I just don’t see them much.
I’ve had plenty of Americans email me or make comments on the blog though, so, as I say, they are here.

Hiya Bob, congrats on your 5 year anniversary. We are celebrating our two week anniversary in Brisbane ! Just getting to know the place at the moment. Weather has been amazing, people have been so friendly and helpful. Even being evacuated out of the Queens St Mall hasn’t put us off !! Lets hope we enjoy it all as much as you do.

Hi Bob, I just needed to thank you for all you do in sharing you love, hates, good and bad times in Australia, by sharing you opinions and video’s etc., it definitely goes far in allowing wannabies like myself a little taste of real life (in your unique views), and I cannot thank you enough. I’m still on the ladder in the hope of making it there soon, but in the menatime your website allows me to get a bit of a fix until I finally do get there.
