We live in Outer Perth and the lack of good schools is shocking. We live in a suburb where the two local schools are terrible. They have really bad results and reputation. I refuse to send my daughter to any of those schools. Cross catchment area applications are not easy and as there is generally demand from lots of suburbs surrounding the school you want to take your child to, there isnt always a realistic chance that they will be able to attend. Anyway, just my advice would be to check out the primary AND secondary (high) schools if you have children BEFORE choosing a particular suburb. Many people find they consider moving again to a suburb where there is a better school. x
