Hi Martyn,

There are a handful of people who’ve done stupid things at the age of 17…
DIAC is looking for substantial criminal record. Which is convicted/sentenced for 12 months or more.
You’ll need to get a Police Clearance Certificate anyway which may not even show up this event. The best thing is to declare it. It happened 28 years ago, you declare it and you have not done anything since. You should be fine

Hi,

I have a company willing to sponsor me for 457 visa, unfortunately as a stupid 17 yr old (now45) i was charged with theft, no prison just a fine and community service would this stop me being granted a 457 visa?, the conviction is spent under the rehabiltation of criminal offenders act but does this matter?

please please help

Hi Katie, I’m from northern beaches now north shore. I can answer any and all your questions about the areas if you still need a hand. Bottom line for me would be weather though. Sydney can be cold, Icy cold in winter!

I have enganged MARA agent for migration to Austalia purpose. They promised to send my CDR to Engineer’s Australia for assessment on 16 March 2012. But now I heard from them that they sent the doc on 29 March 2012. I became surprised about their committment. Now I want to get out from Mara agents trap. Is it possible ? How will I go forward.

My bro applied under visa subclass 143 for me n mom.
N today I had my medical check up as the case officer asked to submit medical and PCC in 28 days..

It would be of great help if u could tell me estimated time for processing of my visa from today..

If your forms are all filled out and you are confident they are done properly, I’m not really sure that you would need an agent, although an agent would know the answers to your questions.

I’ll ask my MARA agent if he can pop by and take a look at this, maybe he can answer your questions.

As James (Mr Shouty Man) has demonstrated Canberra tends to have a lot of arrogant violent young men. It is quite common to see blood splatter from last nights fights on the streets of Civic and around the bars and nightclubs.

The joy of Canberra found in the 1960′s and 1970′s has been lost by – over-population, a weak government at the beck and call of developers, and misuse of public money on freeways while schools and local shops close, and the needy go without.

I hope people like James move to Cronulla where they belong.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I didn’t think it sounded right that it was compulsory to have the 5 years. Though I do appreciate you need experience for firms to take a gamble on you. I have two so hopefully that will suffice!

Getting qualified in oz sounds complicated so I wil probably start as a paralegal and if i decide/ am able to stay preeminently then convert it.
