Here in Australia, yesterday was Mother’s Day. Now I know it wasn’t Mother’s Day in the UK, but I can assure you it was Mother’s Day in most other places around the world. But then you probably know that from reading my post about Mother’s Day from a couple of years ago.
So Mrs BobinOz got showered with beautiful gifts, all handmade by Elizabeth. But she wasn’t the only one in the household who got spoilt this week, somebody had a birthday. And it wasn’t Elizabeth.
Yes, yours truly is another year older.
Being as I am now way too old to party, we went out for a low-key celebration. That didn’t make it any less fun though.
Where did we go?

For those of you who managed to resist pressing the play button, (why?) but now find themselves wracked with curiosity, let me put an end to your current inquisitiveness.
The place we went to was Camp Mountain Lookout, a beautiful picnic and barbecue location on Mount Nebo. It’s about 20 km from the city of Brisbane and about half an hours drive from my house.
From one lookout it’s as though you are in the middle of nowhere. From another, there are stunning views of the city. As we left, it was getting dark and we were treated to a fantastic red sky sunset, the like of which you have never seen.
