As we hurtle with some speed towards Christmas 2015, it’s time to wind down this blog for the year.
I have written many posts about Christmas, and in 2012 I wrote post called All About Christmas in Australia which was a bit of a roundup of those posts with links. A year later I repackaged it all, using the same links, and called it Australian Christmases: The Bobinoz Christmas Box Gift Set.
Then last year, in a post called Christmas in Australia: What’s It Really like? I gave away those same rusty old box sets, again calling them a gift to you.
Talk about Scrooge!
So this year I’m very pleased to have discovered a new Aussie Christmas song to ‘give’ you.
Time for a singalong
Any of you who have read any of the above-mentioned links or poured through my Christmas Box Gift Set will know that Christmases in Australia are very different than those in so many other countries. So is not surprising that we have our own Christmas songs, because the traditional Christmas songs just don’t work here.
Snow. Log fires. Chimneys. No, not in an Australian summer.
Barbies. Eskies. Cricket. That’s an Australian Christmas.
And this song, better than any other I’ve heard so far, describes Christmas Australian style.
Catchy, isn’t it?

can you tell me if I visit Queensland from the uk do I need to take out travel insurance for pre-existing medical conditions or if any health problems arise (hopefully not) would I get free health care

Australia is the best country in the world with the finest beaches, and in my whole lifetime I’ve been to less than 200 of the 10,685 beaches in Australia. Merry Christmass Bob

I said to my wife at the weekend “when we get to Australia, if we don’t go to a beach every two weeks do we get thrown out of the country?”
No, that would be ridiculous.
